At Willow Wood we are always striving to provide the best for our children and their families. Our vision is that our pupils will be taught in a revamped and improved learning environment which is fit for the 21st century.

The first meeting of the Leadership & Resources Governor Committee met on Friday to discuss our plans. It is really exciting to think that if things go to plan then this time next year some of our children will be being taught in a new and revamped building.

Our Project Manager and Architect are working hard behind the scenes to develop plans for two new classrooms and a possible nursery extension. School is receiving half a million pounds to invest in developing our good school to meet the needs of the community, the outcome of a futher capital bid will be known by the end of December.

As Headteacher, I am delighted that this investment offers governors the opportunity to raise the profile of our School and improve what our School looks like from the outside so that it matches the high quality learning environment offered on the inside. Like you I am saddened to see tatty doors and depressed buildings. During this school year it is our intention to replace doors and re-decorate the existing buidings so that the whole site is improved and reflects the amazing learning that goes on in our School.

A next step is to talk to pupils and parents so I will keep you informed!
