Happy Half Term!

Date: 26th Oct 2014 @ 9:50am

The Year 2 class assembly was a fantastic end to our half term. Mrs Coates' and Mrs Ullein's classes took us back in time as they shared their learning around, 'The Great Fire of London'. We met Samuel Pepys who shared diary extracts with us as children acted out scenes from London of 1666. Some fantastic artwork was also shared and I loved the singing of London's Burning in two parts! Well done Oak and Palm class - we were all very proud of you and the Year 2 teaching team.

School closed for pupils on Thursday and on Friday 65 colleagues and governors undertook Safeguarding training delivered by our Family Worker, Anita Harries, and myself. This was a fantastic opportunity to ensure clarity and a shared understanding of the important role that our school plays in keep our children and their families safe.

I wish you all a happy and safe half term - please remember all the safety messages that Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service shared with us in assembly this week.

Do not touch fire.

Do not touch fireworks.

Be sensible and enjoy a safe Bonfire Night.

Take care now that the dark evenings have arrived.
