On line learning week beginning 19th October 2020

This week we are going to continue to think about our feelings and emotions  and numbers to 5 as well as looking at 2D shapes, naming them and using them to make patterns.

Can you make some different faces for different emotions? Can you make a sad face? Or a happy face? Or a cross face? Or a scared face?

What 2D shapes do you know?

Can you go on a hunt and find some 2D shapes in the house?

Can you share a favourite story with a grown up? Tell the grown up why it is your favourite story, what do you like about it?

Can you create and experiment with symbols and marks representing ideas of number. What numbers can you have a go at writing down? Can you write down number 1 like we have practiced in Nursery?

What can you make into an instrument, could you find a box and it could be a drum? How can you change the sound of it? Can you make it make quiet sounds as well as loud sounds?

Can you order your toys according to their size or colour? Which one is the biggest? Which one is the smallest? Which one is taller? Which one is shorter?

Can you draw a picture and tell your adult about it? What are all the different things you have drawn?

Watch this story, what colours mix together? What colours did they make?

Can you tell your grown up about what happens during a day? What comes first breakfast or bedtime? Can you anticipate specific time-based events such as mealtimes or bed time.

Please will you take  a photograph or video of your child doing these activities (if they are well enough) and either upload it to Tapestry or email it to caroline.smith@willowwood.cheshire.sch.uk
