Lilac 2017-18 2018 - 2019

Mrs Capper

We are really enjoying our Summer term topic of 'One World'

This week we have been out and about trying out new and familiar sports.

On Wednesday our year 5's went to the Total Sports Event as part of National School Sports Week.

Year 6 have been very busy this term. We visited Warrington and Vale Royal College on Friday to try out a few potential careers!

Each group tried three different workshops, ours included motor vehicles, childcare and dance.

Our Whole School Topic this term is:

'Are we nearly there? (yet)! '

...and as you can imagine our focus will be on Journeys

We had a busy Friday this week when Year 5 enjoyed a very muddy afternoon at Forest Schools and Years 5 and 6 tried Yoga.

Another free book this week... this time for Reece. He's collecting 'Horrid Henrys', well done!

Well done to Cody who recieved her 'free' book this morning for reading regularly at home

Welcome back to the Spring Term. It was lovely to hear all about your exciting Christmases from the children today!

SWIMMING This term all the children in Lilac will be swimming alongside year 4 and year 5, this way we can make best use of the pool facilities.

RESPECT Year 6 Lilac pupils will continue to be included in groupings for the 'RESPECT' programme with Winsford Fire Service, by the end of the Summer term all our Year 6 children will have attended in one of the four groups.

VISITS We will be attending trips and visits alongside our Year 5 and 6 classmates, so please remember to keep a check on the calendar too. We also hope to go back to Rosie's farm in February / March, as soon as Rosie lets us know when the new lambs are due.

Our Spring newsletter will be uploaded shortly.
