Year 1 Oak 2019 - 2020
Welcome to the Year One Class Page!
Class Teacher - Miss Hughes
Teaching Assistants - Mrs Cooper and Mrs James
To find out more about what we are learning this term in Oak class, read our Autumn Newsletter below. You can also check our class blog for regular updates, pictures and snippets of our weekly learning!
Helping at Home!
Please read with your child every night at home to help them to become amazing independent readers. At the beginning of every half term your child will receive a set of spellings to practise at home that they will then be tested on at the end of the half term.
Counting to and from 100 from a given number and practising counting in 2s, 5s and 10s will help your children to develop their maths skills.
Attendance is so important to help your child make amazing progress - please make sure your child is here every day, on time with all of the equipment they need to learn!
P.E and Woodlands
Please make sure that your child has their P.E kit in school every week - black shorts, black pumps and a white t-shirt. Our P.E slot is a Thursday afternoon.
We will be making the most of our lovely woodlands area every Tuesday afternoon. Please ensure all children have wellies and warm clothing that you don't mind getting muddy!!
