Roman Soldiers In Training

On Tuesday 8th November, we became Roman soldiers for the afternoon. We even had to understand our commands in Latin!

The Romans spoke in Latin so we had to follow our commands that Miss Reynolds said in Latin! We learnt lots of new words such as parati which means 'get ready'. It was so much fun!

Here are some of the commands we had to understand and follow:

dex = right

sin = left

claudio = halt

silentium = silence

redi - turn

parati = get ready

equaliter ambula = march forward

percute = charge

We have some fabulous Roman soldiers in Year 4!
