SATs Superstars!
Date: 16th May 2015 @ 11:44am
I was immensely proud of the mature and sensible way that our Y6 pupils approached their SATs. They all kept calm and did their best and that is all we ask of them. It was great to see them enjoying their camp out treat on Friday and acting like children, laughing and having fun together!
Meanwhile it was business as usual in school with lots of exciting learning going on – have a look at the class pages to view Y2 visiting the library to find out facts about Africa and delivering weather reports and Y1 making magic potions and creating artwork in the style of Andy Goldsworthy on the school field. It is great to see our children out and about pursuing their learning!
Next week we have an evidence collection day planned during which senior leaders and governors will be looking at the quality of teaching and learning and the curriculum at Willow Wood Community Primary School. We will be in and out of classrooms, looking at books as well as talking to staff and pupils. I’ll let you know our findings! Towards the end of the summer term we carry out a parent survey so we can gather your views. I would also encourage you to visit
https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk
where you can leave your comments about our school.
We all want to be proud to be part of the Willow Wood team so please support your child and your school so that we can work hard together to make Willow Wood a brilliant place to be!
