STEM week Year 6
Date: 21st May 2018 @ 3:37pm
We kick started Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathemeatics (STEM) week off in Year 6 with two activities. Firstly, we investigated states of matter (solids, liquids and gases) and used diagrams to help explain their properties; we then predicted what would happen if we placed raisons into a glass of lemonade. Would they float or sink? After careful observation, we tried to explain what was happening using our knowledge of the states of matter. Finally, we competed in an engineering challenge to build the largest spaghetti tower; the winning team was Lilac with a tower measuring a massive 430mm.
