Tattenhall Day 2
Date: 25th Oct 2017 @ 8:55pm
Well, that's another fun-filled day at Tattenhall coming to an end! After a reasonable night's sleep (although there were a few sleepy children this morning), the children tucked into a delicious breakfast with cereal, toast and a hot option on offer.
After some relaxing time, we split into our two classes this morning. One class did art with Mr Shone, making Egyptian mummies out of clay and mod-rock, whilst the other class was in the hall playing dodgeball and relay games. We swapped halfway through, and there are some great action photos to follow.
For lunch we had sandwiches, salad, a sausage roll, fruit and a flapjack, and then prepared for our walk. We left the Tattenhall Centre to go on a walk around the village, following the 'Millennium Mile' trail. Armed with clipboards and pencils, we looked at the different types of buildings that are used in the village, and we sketched St Alban's church and the rolling Cheshire hills. We were even offered the opportunity to go inside the sandstone building of the church, and we will compare it to the church near school when we go there for our harvest festival after half term.
As we arrived back at the centre, we had a quick drink break before playing outside for a while. We are getting very good on the climbing wall now, and some of us collected the apples from the tree and put them into a box, ready for the centre staff to make into delicious food. This evening, we have had generous helpings of food, with chicken curry or pizza on offer, followed by chocolate cake and ice cream. Yum!
We're sure our parents will be pleased to know we've all had a shower again this evening, and we are just settling down to a film and hot chicolate before bed!
We are all still enjoying ourselves, and are wondering what tomorrow may bring. Will it be the team-building activity, or will it be some survival skills with a possible campfire afterwards? Remember to look at the blog to find out!
