A belated thank you...

It’s the last week of term.
What an incredible journey the children and staff of year 5 have been on so far this Autumn term, with all the wonderful trips and visits that have taken place.
Whilst the children are looking forward to their holidays, the teachers and teaching assistants from both classes are busy planning for the Spring term. However in the midst of all of this, I personally would like to take the time to reflect on this term so far...
It’s difficult to say what has been my favourite moment so far and for a very good reason too!
(There’s too many moments to choose from...)
It would have been the Residential trip to Tattenhall back in November, had I not had the privilege of sitting with Ms Tomlinson, Mrs Hulse and Mrs Green at the Lifestyle Centre for the Choral Christmas project (8th-9th December) last week. We were all moved by the children’s performance and I still cannot find the words to say how proud we all are to those who were involved. I’m sure those parents who watched the performances would whole heartedly agree with me that the children were simply brilliant.
Opportunities like these are few and far between and our school was carefully selected to perform to a captive audience. Therefore, I would like to thank the children for doing the school proud and performing so well. However, I would also like to thank the parents, on behalf of myself and the children, for making it possible for their child to be involved in this project and perform. They each gained a lot from this and experience and hopefully they enjoyed it!
Well done Year 5. Let’s keep going from strength to strength.
Mr Burgess.
