Make it Challenge

18 Year 6 pupils represented Willow Wood in a 'Make it' challenge at Warrington and Vale Royal College on Thursday 28th June. All Winsford primary schools were invited to compete in the enterprise challenge which saw teams of 6 work together to invent, design, model, market and present an idea for a futuristic vehicle and another use for old shipping containers. Points were awarded for demonstrating a range of enterprise skills including: adaptability, leadership, creativity, critical thinking,design and engineering. Each group pitched to the dragons (experienced enterprise experts) who judged. Of the four main awards available, Willow Wood won three of them: Runner up in the Overall team 'Make it' event (Kate P, Cadey-Lea P, Lexi T, Lewis S, Chris B & Mason B) and both individual awards for excellence ( Kate P & Rylee S). Well done to all involved!
