Maple's Visit to Wharton Library
Date: 8th Apr 2015 @ 11:00pm
Maple class (along with Mrs Hulse and Mrs Turnbull), enjoyed a visit to the fabulous Wharton Library on Thursday 2nd April. The children enjoyed an informative 'chat' with the librarian and were then able to peruse the shelves, select books and enjoy reading them in the comfortable surrounds. We are fortunate enough to have such a welcoming library right on our doorstep, so if you do not normally visit it with your child, please pop in and see for yourself. Library cards are free and children can borrow up to 20 books at a time. The library offers your child (or yourself) a quiet place to read, do homework (they will even help your child with homework) and use the computers. It would be nice to see more families using this facility - perhaps you can schedule in one day after school each week to go there.
Thank you to Mr Shone for organising this visit and to Wharton Library for being so hospitable.
