Roald Dahl Week
Date: 18th Sep 2016 @ 12:55pm
We have had such a fantastic week in Oak class celebrating Roald Dahl Week! On Monday we found out a little bit about Roald Dahl and the stories he wrote. We shared some chapters of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and invented and made our own chocolate treats. We then wrote the instructions in our writing groups for how we made them. Check out our recipes below.
On Tuesday we celebrated what would have been Roald Dahl's 100th Birthday with a Dahlicious dress up day! Everybody looked so fantastic. In the afternoon we had a big party on the field with tea and cake with the rest of Key Stage One. We also played some fun party games.
We also shared some of the BFG story as a class. We thought the way that the BFG talked was strange and funny. We thought about some of the dreams we'd like for the BFG to blow through our windows and drew and painted them in our own dream jars.
We have loved celebrating Roald Dahl week together!
