We made some absolutely delicious cake this week in Junior Chef Academy.
The soldiers in World War 1 didn't get much food at all so they were always grateful for food parcels. Cake was often sent as it would remain edible for weeks.
Our cake had carrots, sultanas and nuts in it. (Some of us included a bit of egg shell for extra crunchiness!)
