STEM visitor

This afternoon, as part of STEM week, Matthew Davies (Waste Doctor) delivered a workshop about recycling. The aim of the visit was to teach the children about what happens to their recycling, why we need to recycle, how to reduce waste, home composting and to promote the ‘love food hate waste’ campaign. Year 6 aim to participate in reducing the amount of waste sent to land fill sites and increase the recycling rate in the area. Matthew also talked about the wide range of STEM career opportunites available in the waste and recycling sector.
