Team Mulberry: Week 1!
Date: 8th Sep 2016 @ 10:06pm
We have made an excellent start to year 5, thinking about what makes us into a good team. We have our own class mascot (which looks remarkably like the Team GB Olympic mascot!), and this helped us to think of ways to finish the statement: 'In Mulberry, we are...' Soon there will be a photograph to show you what we came up with, and our designs have certainly brightened up our classroom door!
Already this week, we have been hard at work. We have tested ourselves to see what we can remember about place value in maths, and then learnt how to read larger numbers. We have checked how much we could recall of our punctuation and grammar, and we discovered we had forgotten some things over the summer! We have also enjoyed writing our own descriptive openings to a story, creating rhythms in music, and started our topic books! On Wednesday, we had a fabulous PE lesson working in teams, and we all looked really smart in our correct kits!
Thank you Mulberry for a great start to the year. Make sure you are sharing your learning with your families at home, and families, please keep looking on the class pages to find out more. The children are going to be heavily involved in what is being posted in Mulberry class, so watch this space...!
