The Gingerbread Man

We have been looking at the story of the gingerbread man. We have been doing lots of different activities linked to the gingerbread man. Designing and making our own gingerbread man, cutting out pictures, acting out the story with puppets, counting the buttons on the gingerbread man,

This morning, we received a letter from the gingerbread man!  He asked us to help him get across the river.  At first, we thought he could swim, but when we put him in the water-he went all soggy and he melted! So we thought about how we got over rivers. We decided we could use a boat or a bridge, so we set about making bridges and boats to help the gingerbread man cross the river.
