Willow's Blog - Summer Term Week 2
Date: 13th May 2016 @ 2:04pm
We have been so busy in Oak class that we haven't had time to share all our learning with you.
As a link to our topic at the moment, plants, we decided to do the story of Jack and the Beanstalk in English. We have been learning about characters, settings and the key features of a good story so that we are able to write our own. We have learnt the story of Jack in the Beanstalk with actions to help us retell it. We always love doing this.
In maths we have been concentrating on getting really good with our numbers. We are practising counting forwards and backwards to 100 from any given number and counting in 10s. We have been doing lots of adding and subtracting as well.
In science we started an experiment about growing. We have decided to see if our cress seeds will grow best in the cupboard or in our classroom. We have made a prediction that the ones in the cupboard will not grow at all because we know plants need sun to grow.
Please enjoy the video of us performing Jack and the Beanstalk - ask us to tell it to you at home.
