Willow's Blog - Week 1 - Spring Term

Happy New Year and welcome back to Oak class! We have thrown ourselves straight back into working hard and the children have made me and Miss Hughes so proud with how grown up and sensible they have been. 

We have a new 'favourite author' this term, Oliver Jeffers and we are looking at his book Lost & Found for English. This week we learnt all about adjectives, or describing words. We have been watching the video to go along with the story and we used both to come up with adjectives to describe the characters to add to our working wall together. We are really loving the story so far, we think the penguin is so cute. 

We had such fun when our grown-ups came to the parent lunch this week. It was lovely to see parents playing with their children on the playground after they had finished eating. 

We have been wrapping up warm and going back in the woodlands which is one of our favourite parts of the week. As part of Ms Tomlinson's whole school target we have decided to have a different photographer every week so that our Oak team are more involved with our class website. Hannah Grace loved being the paparazzi for our trip to the woodlands!
