Year 5/6 Football League

Last week, the Willow Wood football team performed fantastically well in their opening fixtures of the Winsford Primary School partnership league at Winsford Academy. Following a competitively fought 0-0 stalement in the opening game, they improved and started to play as a team winning both the second and third games. It was a fine team performance: Cason made some important saves as goalkeeper, keeping 3 clean sheets; Brooklyn dominated play in the heart of the defence; Morgan pulled the strings in midfield aswell as having an eye for goal; attackers Alfie and Finlay were on target countless times.
