Sea Life Centre
Lesson: Understanding the World
Class: Year 1 Juniper & Mulberry Year: 2018 - 2019
Year One had a fantastic time at the Sea Life Centre today. To begin with, we had a conservation workshop with Ben who told us all about the endangered species in the ocean. He told us about how sea horses, turtles, sharks and some types of fish are nearly extinct because of humans. We then learned how we can help reduce our impact on the environment and created posters to help inform others.
Next, we had time to walk around the aquarium. We saw so many different types of sea creatures and learned so many different facts. Some of our favourite animals were the stingrays, sharks, turtles, clown fish and jelly fish. We also really enjoyed it when we got to stroke the starfish in the petting pool! What a great day.
