Make a Noise about Bullying!

Date: 6th Dec 2015 @ 5:29pm

At Willow Wood it is important that every child feels safe and happy at school so that they can achieve their best.

We have been encouraging the children to ‘Make a Noise about Bullying!” The children in Key Stage 2 enjoyed a drama called ‘Standing By’ which explored the issues around condoning bullying by watching it and keeping quiet.

We have all practised telling an adult if and when we see bullying going on.

The children have been fantastic and led a series of assemblies during which they shared their anti-bullying work. We heard some really powerful truths, which made us all think.

Mrs Grigg set up a ‘Home Learning Challenge’ to design an Anti-Bullying poster and we had some fantastic entries.

The winners were recognized in assembly and rewarded with a certificate and a prize.

Well done Willow Wood – thank you for working together to make our school a happy and safe learning community.
