Staff

Willow Wood has a talented and hard working staff team who are dedicated to providing children with the highest quality education, encouraging them to develop, thrive and grow and so reach their potential.

The school community works together to ensure that all children are supported in their development and feel valued. The school receives positive feedback from regular pupil and parent questionnaires.

Children achieve their best when home and school work closely together. There are plenty of ways in which parents can be involved with school life such as:

  • Helping in classrooms
  • Helping in the School grounds
  • Baking with small groups of children
  • Accompanying groups on education visits
  • Participating in training to support children’s learning.

Good partnerships between parents and school form the basis of children making good progress. The school has an open door policy and enjoys working with parents to enable all children to improve standards and achieve their best.

Staff have a wealth of experience and a passion for supporting all children to achieve their potential. The teachers work closely when planning work to ensure fun, creative activities which engage and challenge pupils, promote learning and ensure continuity and progression.

At present we operate thirteen classes, including our nursery class, plus our Lilac class which caters for pupils with learning difficulties. The number in classes vary from year to year depending on the number in each age group.

Willow Wood is fortunate to be served by an excellent team of teachers and teaching assistants. We also have a super support team which includes, admin and site staff and mid day assistants who play a vital role in supporting the development of our children and providing a great learning environment for all.
