On line learning week beginning 23rd November 2020

This week we are continuing to think about Autumn and repeating patterns we are also going to think about positional language, using the words, next to, behind, on top, under and over.

Watch this story about a leaf man https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqW-j3WV6g8&t=88s

Can you talk about some of the things you have observed such as plants, animals, natural and found objects to your grown up?

Can you share your favourite story with your adult? What are the character’s names? What happens at the beginning of the story? What happens at the end of the story?

Can you show your adult the front and back covers of the book and where the title is.

Can you practise putting your shoes on the right feet and fastening them up all by yourself.

Child Background

Can you put your toys in different positions? Under the chair? On the bed etc and tell your adults where they are.

Do you know why the leaves fall off the trees? What has happened to the leaves? What happens to the trees in spring? Talk to your adult about these questions

Watch this little clip about Autumn

https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/watch/nelly-and-nora-autum

and talk about what you know about Autumn.

Can you find some different objects in your house? Can you find anything that feels rough? Can you find anything that feels smooth? Can you find anything that feels spikey? What other textures can you find?

Have a look at this little clip. Can you find where the monkey is?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idJYhjGyWTU

Can you use a tablet or a camera or a phone to take a photograph, it could be of your favourite toy or it could be of yourself? Do you know what you have to press to take a picture?

Please will you take  a photograph or video of your child doing these activities (if they are well enough) and either upload it to Tapestry or email it to caroline.smith@willowwood.cheshire.sch.uk
