On line learning week beginning 8th February 2021

This half term our topic is ‘not all super heroes wear capes!’ We are going to be thinking about people who help us, how they help us and what they do.

This week we are going to be thinking about the all the different people who help us and what they do to help us, we are continuing to think about 3D shapes and rhyming.

Have a look at this song and matching activity on BBC bitesize about 3D shapes

Can you think about all the different people who help us? Which one is your favourite? Can you draw a picture of them and try to write down why you like them and how they help. It doesn’t have to be one of the people we have looked at it can be any one!

Can you fasten your own coat, get your adult to video you fastening your coat, all by yourself

Run to the Rhyme!

You can play this indoors or outdoors (weather permitting)

Either using pictures from books, a picture you or your adult have drawn or the real object.

Eg cat/hat

look/book (just draw a pair         of eyes for look)

Adult places hat, house, log, mat, book and jug pics around the room or garden.

adult says start of a phrase emphasising rhyming word and child runs/finds correct rhyming picture

I saw a CAT wearing a...

The little DOG sat on a...

I went for a LOOK and found a..

Minnie MOUSE lived in a....

Roland the RAT hid under the.....

The poor little BUG got stuck in a...

Have a listen to this rhyming story, can you hear the rhyming words?

Can you write a thank you card to someone who helps us?

Have a go at this cosmic kids yoga, it helps us to remember how to wash our hands.

Can you draw a picture of someone you love for valentines day, maybe you could post your picture to the person you love

It is pancake day next week, can you listen to this pancake song

Maybe you will even get to eat some next week. I like lemon and sugar on my pancakes, what do you like on yours?

Please will you take a photograph or video of your child doing these activities and upload it to Tapestry.
