Peforming at the Halle and DFest!

Performing was a key aspect of the Y5 curriculum experience this week.

Firstly the children had the opportunity to travel to the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester to play their instruments with the Halle orchestra. They shared this amazing experience with hundreds of primary aged pupils from across the northwest of England. We were very proud of our pupils who have learned to play their chosen instrument to this level within a year.

On Saturday, I was privileged to watch three of our Y5 pupils give an amazing performance of the Ben Zephaniah poem, ‘The British (serves 60 million)’. Kyle, Lily and Marcie delivered a spirited, clear and confident performance supported by their Teacher, Mr Shone in front of a packed audience gathered at the Delamere Street Festival.

Well done and thank you to their families for bringing the children along on a Saturday morning to this community event.
