Pyjamarama and Mr Bell!

We had a lovely end to our busy first week back of the final half term of the year together as we celebrated:

We started the day with a lovely Celebration Assembly and our children looked amazing dressed in their pyjamas! We were pleased to be joined by our new Headteacher for September 2019, Mr Bell (in his dressing gown)! Thank you for all of your donations which will go to the charity BookTrust (www.booktrust.org.uk) which is dedicated to getting children and families reading.

We have been busy recording members of Willow Wood staff reading their favourite bedtime stories to share on our website. Our aim is to have a bedtime story every week for you to share at home with your children at bedtime.Our first story, 'Aliens Love Underpants' is read by Mr Shone and was shared in assembly today! Please look for the link at the bottom of the Homepage.

The next lot of bedtime stories will be kept in our Parents' section of the website so keep checking for more fantastic stories! I enjoyed recording one of my favourite stories today and Mr Bell will record his soon!

Mr Bell really enjoyed his day with us, especially reading a story to the Nursery children and meeting children and staff as we walked around the site at lunchtime; he was very impressed with how much space we had in our school grounds and also how well the children were playing together!

Mr Bell is hoping to meet some parents and members of the FOWWS when he joins us at the FOWWS Sposored Walk and fun afternoon on Friday July 12th - so please put the date in your diary!
