Road Safety GIST Year 2
Date: 14th Mar 2018 @ 8:14pm
On Tuesday GIST came to deliver their free Road Safety Programme. The children were given the opportunity to explore inside the cab of the vehicle and got to see first hand the view from the driver’s seat. The experienced and funny presenters also conducted a practical demonstration, putting the theory learned in the morning assembly into practice. They discussed stopping distances and driver blind spots with the children in a safe and controlled environment.

Thank you Ian and John for helping us to learn about staying safe on the roads.
I hope Y2 will put all their learning into practice and STAY SAFE!

How ironic that the children are being taught road safety and their parents continue to park illegally over residents’ driveways and cause obstructions

Hello Helen
We share your concerns and that is why parking considerately is mentioned on the homepage of our website and our monthly newsletters. We have also asked the Police to keep an eye on the situation.
Hopefully we are educating the next generation who will remind their parents and carers to park legally to keep our children safe and our neighbours happy.
