Willow's Blog - Week 5 - Spring Term

Date: 24th Feb 2016 @ 12:53pm

Hello!

We have had another busy week in Oak class before finishing for half term. In our English lessons we have been using all of the actions that we learnt last week to help us write the story of Lost & Found. It was funny to hear us all saying the story as we were writing it. Take a look at our Super Writing page at the top of our class to page to see the stories that we have written.

In our maths lessons we met the character of Mr Double Trouble! He is a handyman who is very clumsy, makes lots of mistakes and does things twice - to make doubles! He has got a special song to help us learn doubles. which we really enjoyed. Watch the video of us singing it below. On Thursday, Mr Double Trouble had a disaster with his toolbox! He lost the magic doubles code that he needs to open it when he was fixing our school gate. We had to go on a number hunt around the playground and double all the numbers back in our classroom to open the toolbox. When we doubled all the numbers, we found Mr Double Trouble had got a treat for us inside the toolbox.

Test us on our doubles at home by giving us a number and asking us to find the doubles.
