Your child has a spelling test every week however it depends which group your child is in for which day they will have their spelling test.

Scroll down and you will see different ideas to help you learn your spellings.

Ideas to help you learn you spellings:

- Write them out again and again

- Write each letter of the word in a different colour e.g MONDAY

- Play hangman with your spelling words

- Spell the words out using scrabble pieces

- Write the word in sand/foam/paint etc

- Sing the word

- Break the word up into smaller chucks e.g Mon - day

- Find the tricky bit of the word e.g. on in Monday

- Visit spellingcity.com and play games with your spellings

- Get an adult to spell the word incorrect and you find out why teh spelling is wrong

- Play missing letters where someone writes the word but misses out 2 letters and you have to work out what the missing letters are
