Year 4 and Lilac visit Roman Chester and Chester cathedral

Lesson: Understanding the World

Hazel, Mulberry and Lilac had a fabulous day out in Chester.

In the morning we visited Chester Cathedral where we handled different artefacts, toured the Cathedral and made stained glass windows. The afternoon was spent walking through Roman Chester, past the Amphitheatre, through the gardens and along the walls to the Grosvenor Museum. Here the children found out lots more about the Romans and a few enjoyed dressing in Roman outfits and pretending to be Roman nobles!

Several members of the public stopped to compliment our children on their super behaviour and polite good manners which was lovely! Well done Year 4 and Lilac.
