Year 6 visit to the University of Chester - Raising Aspirations!

Today Year 6 pupils enjoyed our Winsford Primary Pathways event at the University of Chester. The event was designed to support our pupils in exploring a range of careers, subjects and potential pathways before their progression to secondary school. The visit included: a session outlining what options are available, a subject ‘fair’ which allowed pupils to meet academics; students from a range of our faculties and try activities, and a campus tour.  The morning also allowed pupils to experience a real university campus and ask lots of questions.

The children were buzzing when they returned to school and a group told Ms Tomlinson that they want to go to University now, which is great. Aim high!
